Two members of rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s crew turned themselves in to authorities Tuesday night after being wanted since last year in an alleged attack on an actor in Buckhead, authorities confirmed.

Brandon “Slim” Allen and John “Rook” Cappellety were booked on battery charges ahead of the rapper’s scheduled performance at the Coca-Cola Roxy on Wednesday, Channel 2 Action News reported. A third member of the rapper’s crew, Lamar Reed, hasn’t turned himself in despite being wanted on the same charges.

In September 2018, the three men allegedly beat up Gabriel “G-Rod” Rodriguez in a Buckhead hotel lobby, which can be seen on surveillance video released by Atlanta police, AJC.com previously reported.

New video obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows the moments that an actor was allegedly beat up by rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s entourage at a Buckhead hotel last month.

In the video, a man in a gray shirt picks up Rodriguez and slams him to the ground, with another man then hitting and kicking him. Police said at the time that the man who allegedly body-slammed the actor is believed to be the rapper’s personal bodyguard.

Rodriguez said the fight followed a heated exchange between himself and Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Richard Colson Baker, at the Twin Peaks restaurant on Piedmont Road.

The actor told Channel 2 in September that he had an issue ever since the rapper called Eminem’s daughter “hot as (expletive)” in a tweet when she was just 16 years old. He told police he later crossed paths with the rapper’s entourage when he returned to the Hampton Inn.

"He's a coward for having his goons jump me," said Rodriguez, who was in Atlanta filming a television show at the time.

Rodriguez suffered “major injuries to the right side of his face,” police said. When officers arrived at the hotel, none of the alleged attackers was there.

Allen, the rapper’s producer and engineer, and Cappellety, the crew’s drummer, were both released from the Fulton County Jail later Tuesday night on a $2,000 surety bond, jail records show.

Channel 2 has reached out to the rapper's management team for a comment on the arrests and whether the planned show with Young Thug at 8 p.m. will go on as planned.
