A man was ambushed and shot Sunday night in East Point while he sat outside a city housing authority building, police confirmed.
At least one person walked up to him around 9 p.m. as he was sitting on Randall Street, East Point police spokeswoman Detective Ebony Bullock told AJC.com. The housing authority’s leasing office is on that street.
“The victim was sitting outside (when) he was approached by a suspect,” Bullock said. “He was robbed, and he was shot.”
He was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not known Monday, she said.
Bullock said the department is not releasing further details as the investigation is ongoing.
