A man died after being shot in his vehicle Tuesday night at a DeKalb County gas station, police said.

The victim, described by police as in his late 30s, was found with a single gunshot wound outside the Marathon gas station on Gresham Road south of I-20. He was rushed to a hospital about 10:30 p.m.

He later died at the hospital, DeKalb police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent said Wednesday morning. The man has not been identified.

Detectives believe they are looking for two suspects who witnesses saw running from the scene, Vincent said. They are also reviewing all surveillance video from the area.

The motive behind the deadly shooting is unknown, she said.
