Atlanta police have made an arrest in an investigation into the city’s first two homicides of 2019.

Carlos Marques White of Atlanta was arrested Friday in connection with the double shooting that killed Quinton Porter, 35, and Frederick Parker, 30, on Jan. 3, Atlanta police said.

The victims were found in a maroon SUV near the corner of Lee and Whitehall streets in southwest Atlanta around 7:15 a.m., AJC.com previously reported.

Police believe White targeted the two men, who were his acquaintances. No other details have been released.

He faces murder charges and remains in the Fulton County Jail without bond, according to jail records.

Channel 2 Cobb County bureau reporter Chris Jose learned 30 suspected gang members were indicted on 169 felonies. Jose confirmed several people had been arrested and learned some were already in jail.
