Three people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds as a result of a shooting in the parking lot of a Lithia Springs Applebee’s late Wednesday night, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The restaurant, located on Thornton Road, closed at midnight, and a fight broke out shortly after. Deputies arrived to the scene around 1 a.m.
Using metal detectors, investigators searched for bullet fragments and shells around the restaurant, the news station reported. It is unclear what prompted the fight that resulted in gunshots.
Applebee’s sent a statement to Channel 2, which said they are cooperating with authorities. The restaurant chain called this an “isolated incident.”
No arrests have been made, although authorities believe they know who the suspect is. Deputies have not released a description of the suspect.
The three victims are in stable condition.
