Authorities are searching for leads after a Decatur man was hit and killed outside a bar Friday morning.

Anthony Lingoes had just left the Trackside Tavern about 3 a.m. when he was killed, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Police told Channel 2 Lingoes was walking near South Candler Street when he crossed a street without crosswalks and was hit by a car.

The driver kept going.

Police believe a 2008 to 2014 Cadillac CTS hit Anthony Lingoes.

“Somewhere out there is a person who did this, somewhere out there is a dented car,” Lingoes’ brother Andrew told Channel 2.

Andrew Lingoes said his family was shocked by Anthony’s death, which came at a time when he was “trying to better himself.”

“It is a complete shock to our family,” he said. “We are having a really hard time getting over it."
