A man was injured early Monday after a fight at an Atlanta lounge ended with gunfire, officials said.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital from the Atlantis Restaurant and Lounge on Piedmont Circle about 1 a.m., according to Atlanta police spokesman Officer Steve Avery.

At the hospital, the victim told police he had been in the lounge when a dispute started. At some point, the fight moved to the parking lot, he said. A man started shooting into the crowd, leaving the victim wounded, according to Avery.

Police said the man was stable after the incident. Officers did not find any other victims in the area.

This isn’t the first incident of violence at the Atlantis. One year ago, an employee was killed and two others were injured when an argument over the cost of admission led a man to open fire.
