Guatemala is entirely within the coffee belt, making it one of the top 10 coffee exporters in the world, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

However, officers said they found more than coffee beans inside a Guatemalan man’s bags at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Friday.

Two pouches of heroin were found hidden inside a coffee bag within the luggage of the 39-year-old man, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a news release.

The kilogram of drugs was found concealed in a “seemingly factory-sealed coffee bag during a routine baggage search,” the release said.
