Deputies have arrested a man they say was found driving the car of a woman he allegedly killed and left on the side of a road.
Eric Greene, 41, is charged with murder and theft by taking in connection with the death of Sheila Bryant.
Douglas County deputies said Bryant, 55, of Bremen, was found dead just off the roadway at West Union Hill Road and Ephesus Church last month. Her body was discovered after someone called the Douglas County sheriff Jan. 25.

Bryant was taken to the GBI’s Crime Lab, where a medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and said strangulation was the cause.
Officials said Bryant was killed at another location and then left on the side of the road near the church.
“Because of the complexity of the case, little information could be released for fear that the suspect might flee or evidence be destroyed,” sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Jesse Hambrick said.
Hambrick said investigators identified Greene as a person of interest early in the case. He was located in Bryant’s car in Paulding County on Feb. 7, where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
“After further follow-up, investigators were able to determine Greene’s involvement in the crime,” Hambrick said.
Greene is being held in the Douglas County Jail. He was denied bond in a hearing before a Superior Court Judge on Monday.
