A man was still in jail Friday after he allegedly exposed himself and defecated outside a barbershop in Columbus in broad daylight.

Police charged Kenyatta Samar Griffin, 42, with public indecency, following the Wednesday afternoon incident, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

A witness at a Circle K gas station told Officer Bradley Waldie, who was on a routine patrol, he saw Griffin squatted with his pants down outside Victory Barber Shop. The gas station is visible to the barbershop, Waldie said.

Waldie said he saw Griffin walking alongside the barbershop pulling up his pants, the newspaper reported.

When asked about the feces, Griffin, who smelled like alcohol, told Waldie someone else defecated on the side of the building.

Police found human feces outside the barbershop and took Griffin into custody.

Griffin was in the Muscogee County Jail Friday on a $1,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
