Forsyth County authorities are searching for the rider of a Kawasaki motorcycle who hit a pedestrian Sunday morning before leaving the dying man — and the sport bike — behind.

The wreck occurred shortly before 4 a.m. along Dahlonega Highway, killing 27-year-old Jose D. Ramirez Labra, Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies said.

A damaged black and green Kawasaki ZX-1000 was parked on the side of the roadway nearby, but its driver still has not been found.
Anyone with information about the collision or the motorcyclist is asked to call investigators at 770-781-3087
