Canton police are looking for a man who stole a federal agent’s tactical vest from a government vehicle.

He is believed to have entered the vehicle Saturday between midnight and 7 a.m. in the River Green subdivision, police spokeswoman Antoinette Jackson said in a blog post.

The man used a brick to try to enter the vehicle’s cab, Jackson said. He was then able to gain entry through the hard-shell cover on the truck’s bed.

The vest has “Federal Agent” on the front, and a medical trauma kit was attached to the vest, police said.

Anyone who can identify the man in the photo is asked to call police at 770-720-4883. The victim is offering a $250 reward for information that leads to an arrest, conviction and the recovery of stolen property.
