Authorities are searching for the suspect who hijacked an East Point man’s vehicle through force in Peachtree City early Friday morning, authorities said.

The incident took place at the intersection of Planterra Way and Ga. 54 about 2 a.m., Peachtree City police Sgt. Chris Hyatt told AJC.com. The victim was forcibly removed from his vehicle by a man, who then stole it.

The vehicle’s owner was not injured and no weapons were used during the incident, Hyatt said. It’s unclear what led up to the struggle over the vehicle, which was found abandoned in Pike County.
