He had no ties to Franklin County, but that’s where a Dunwoody man was found shot to death, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and GBI said late Wednesday.

The man, whose name was not released, was found dead Sept. 19 on McBath Road in Carnesville, located in northeast Georgia and about 75 miles from Doraville, according to police.

"The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body," the sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page.

Investigators have asked for the public’s help to locate a suspicious vehicle in the area between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sept. 19, but no description of a vehicle was available. The vehicle may have been in the area of Ga. 106 or the intersection of I-85 and exit 166, police said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 706-384-2525 or the GBI hotline at 1-800-597-8477.
