The decision to turn on the radio was enough to help Steve Adams rescue a little girl.
The first thing Adams heard was an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Brooklynne Emerie Enix. The report included a description of the girl and the car she was thought to be in.
Adams was shocked to see the car right in front of him.
The first two dispatchers Adams reached didn't know about the alert. He stayed on the line and followed the car until the sheriff's office found the information and sent the call.
According to WTOL, deputies responded quickly and pulled over the car. Tyler Enix was arrested for kidnapping and the murder of his wife, Kimberly.
Investigators say Enix has previous arrests for domestic assault, false imprisonment and aggravated assault.
