For the second consecutive day, someone was shot in the leg outside the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was killed, authorities said Saturday.

According to police, a 35-year-old man was shot during a drive-by at University Avenue and Pryor Road about 6 p.m. He was conscious at the scene, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant said.

Witnesses told officers the man was shot by someone driving a gray Dodge Challenger. The car was last seen fleeing north on Pryor Road, Grant said.

The intersection at the Wendy’s has been the site of large demonstrations for the past week since Brooks was shot and killed by Atlanta police during a struggle in the restaurant’s parking lot.

On Friday night, a 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg outside the restaurant after gunfire erupted during an otherwise-peaceful protest.
