A Domino’s driver was hit with a brick and suffered cuts on his arms during a delivery to a Henry County neighborhood last week.
Michael Giza drove to a home on Misty Ridge Trail in Stockbridge on Wednesday with two pizzas and a 2-liter Fanta, Channel 2 Action News reported. No one was home, so he left.
Giza got a call telling him to return because the customer had been in the bathroom, police told Channel 2.
But that’s when things turned violent.
"(I) went and knocked on the door again. I waited five, 10 minutes because of the handicap ramp," Giza told Channel 2.
When no one came, he walked back to his car and was ambushed by two people — one who was masked and had a brick, according to the news station.
“The one with the brick put his hand on the car window and hit me in the back of the head with the brick,” Giza said.
At one point, he said, the men repeatedly mentioned getting a gun.
The thieves made off with the pizzas, the 2-liter drink and $20.
Giza believes his attackers were in their late teens to early 20s.
