Dozens of people were displaced Wednesday night after a fire at a Spalding County apartment complex, according to American Red Cross of Georgia.

The Spalding County Fire Department responded to the blaze in the 600 block of Northside Drive just after 8:30 p.m., Channel 2 Action News reported. No injuries were reported, but 11 units at the Hillside Apartments were affected and 46 people were displaced, Red Cross spokeswoman Sherry Nicholson said.

Along with emotional support, the Red Cross provided assistance for immediate emergency needs such as lodging, food, clothing, toiletries, replacement medications and other essentials.

“Red Cross caseworkers will continue to follow up with the families in the days ahead to share additional recovery resources and help them get back on their feet,” Nicholson said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
