A Decatur man was arrested Friday in connection with a homicide, authorities said.

Brandon Tyrone Smith, 27, faces a felony murder charge after allegedly shooting Charles Smith several times, killing him Saturday, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The shooting took place on Wyndham Park Circle in unincorporated Decatur, the release said. Deputies have not determined a motive.

Smith was arrested at a business in Atlanta and was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, the release said.

As of Friday night, he remained in jail without bond, according to jail records.
