Two suspects face a combined 10 charges after authorities busted an alleged methamphetamine trafficking operation that was being run out of a Hall County jail cell.
Officers were able to track down Shannon Myria Bouchereau, 44, of Gillsville, on Friday to a parking lot in the 1000 block of Jesse Jewell Parkway, the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) said in a news release. Investigators said they had tied her to narcotics trafficking in the area.
What happened next nearly injured three officers.
When they attempted to arrest Bouchereau, she drove a vehicle into a patrol car that was occupied by two officers and nearly struck a third officer, the release said. The third officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
She was able to drive away, but officers obtained arrest warrants against her for three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer and one count of criminal attempt to commit methamphetamine trafficking, the release said. Bouchereau was arrested the next day at a home in the 1000 block of Lathem Drive.
When she was arrested, more than five ounces of meth was discovered inside six plastic bags and seized by MANS, the release said. The amount of drugs is estimated to be worth about $14,500.

That led to additional charges of trafficking meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, use of a communication device to facilitate a drug transaction and leaving the scene of an accident with damage.
On Monday, officers tied the drug trafficking to Larry Termane Nuckles, 48, of Gainesville, who was in the Hall County Jail, the release said. He’s accused of arranging and facilitating Bouchereau’s alleged meth trafficking from his cell by using an inmate cell block phone.
Nuckles was charged with criminal attempt to traffic meth and use of a communication device to facilitate a drug transaction. He was arrested by the MANS unit in October on heroin, meth and cocaine distribution charges.
