Cobb police need help identifying man killed by SUV

Cobb County police need help identifying the man struck and killed by an SUV on Monday night.

A red 2010 Nissan Rogue was driving east on Powers Ferry Road just west of the Chattahoochee River when the man stepped into traffic from the south edge of the road, according to the Cobb County Police Department.

He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he died. Police don't plan on charging the 24-year-old Marietta female driver.

A medical examiner could not identify the man, who was described as being white, about 6 feet tall and weighing 152 pounds. He had brown eyes with graying hair and a gray beard and mustache.
