In an ongoing attempt to solve the case, police on Friday released details of clothing found with a woman whose remains were discovered last month in a suitcase along a Gwinnett County interstate.

The woman, who was found July 29 by a Georgia Department of Transportation worker in a wooded area along I-985 northbound, was wearing a large black Miley Cyrus hoodie, small black Victoria’s Secret pants with “LOVE PINK” on a leg, and size 7 pink 2014 women’s Nike Air Max Cage shoes, Gwinnett police Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

“It’s not only vital that we solve the case, but it’s also important that we bring closure to a family who is missing their loved one,” she said.

The woman died about six months ago based on the decomposition, but the medical examiner's officer is still trying to determine the cause of death, Pihera said.

According to Gwinnett County police records, there were no missing person cases that match the remains.

The woman is believed to be Hispanic or mixed race with mostly white ancestry and between 20 and 30 years old.

“By giving a name to the bones,” Pihera said, “we can begin the process of determining the events in her life that ultimately led to her death.”
