Canton police arrested three suspects in connection with a burglary after they allegedly attempted to cash out a large amount of change at a nearby Kroger.

Authorities were dispatched Thursday to a report of several suspicious suspects at the front door of a Cherokee County residence, according to a news release. A teenage girl who was home at the time ran and hid upstairs, and she heard multiple people forcibly enter two interior rooms in the home, the release said.

Two firearms, a pair of shoes and several plastic jars full of change were taken, police said.

Later that evening, the manager of the Kroger on Marietta Highway called to report that two men were cashing out a large amount of change at the store.

Officers detained the men, along with a woman who was waiting for them in the parking lot. The stolen plastic containers were found in the vehicle, according to police.

Devonte Atrion Scott, 22, of Waleska, Terrell Nathan Williams, 18, of Canton, and Madison Fuller, 17, of Canton, were all charged with burglary.
