Three people have been charged in the rape of a 15-year-old girl that was filmed and reportedly posted on Snapchat, authorities said.

The sexual assault occurred in late May at a shopping center in Newnan, police said.

According to investigators, the victim went to Ashley Park with 17-year-old Aaliyah Elize Garrison. When they arrived, they reportedly met with 20-year-old Demauri Stevens Gumbs and 18-year-old Miguel Angel Holloway Boulai, Newnan police said.

The victim was given alcohol and allegedly assaulted by Gumbs and Boulai twice, once in an office building and later inside a parked car, authorities said. Garrison is accused of filming the alleged assault and sharing the video with someone on Snapchat.

The rape investigation began when the 15-year-old told her mother about the encounter and she reported it to police, authorities said.

All three suspects were arrested last week. Boulai and Gumbs each face one count of rape and one count of child sexual exploitation, police said. They remain held at the Coweta County Jail without bond, online records show.

Garrison, who is charged with one count of child sexual exploitation, has since been released on bond, authorities confirmed.
