Authorities are investigating after someone fired a handgun inside a Douglasville Best Buy and left the store Monday afternoon.
No one was injured when shots were fired inside the Douglas Boulevard location just before 12:30 p.m., Douglasville police said. The shooter was gone by the time officers arrived.
“Officers and detectives are working to identify the suspect who fled the scene,” police said on Twitter.
Police told Channel 2 Action News that the shooting came from the back of the store. Detectives said they found holes where gunshot rounds hit the building.
The store has been closed since the shooting.
Investigators are checking surveillance video in the store and at other locations in the area to see if they can identify a suspect.
