Homicide detectives are investigating a targeted shooting at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex Tuesday morning, police said.

A man, who was not identified, was shot and killed at the Heritage Station Apartments on McDaniel Street. His body was found in the complex’s parking deck when officers arrived around 1:45 a.m., Atlanta police spokesman Investigator James White said.

“At this time the male appears to have been the victim of a targeted shooting,” White said in a statement.

No further details have been released.
