Authorities have arrested the final two suspects in connection with a 74-year-old woman’s violent carjacking outside a DeKalb County gas station earlier this month.
Joshua Bryant, 20, and Tiffany Swanson, 19, were arrested in Atlanta on Thursday and charged with robbery and elder abuse, DeKalb County Jail records show.
Bryant is also charged with aggravated battery for allegedly attacking Rosa Smith outside the Gresham Road Chevron station before driving off in her Nissan Rogue, police said.

Last week, police arrested 17-year-old Aaron Johnson in connection with the attack, which sent the 74-year-old to the hospital.

Smith, a retired attorney, didn’t suffer any broken bones, but she was left battered and bruised with gashes on her forehead, mouth and cheeks, according to police. She also complained of extreme pain in her hips.

Her terrier mix Daphne was still inside the vehicle at the time of the carjacking, police said previously. The dog was later found wandering in a southwest Atlanta road and reunited with her family.

Bryant, Johnson and Swanson remain held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond, records show.
