A motorcyclist is on life support at a local hospital Wednesday after being pinned under a cement truck in Clayton County, authorities said.

Clayton County police spokeswoman Marcena Davis told AJC.com that the wreck at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Tara Road had been cleared as of 6:30 p.m.

The identity of the motorcyclist was not released.

CLARIFICATION: Clayton County police previously said the motorcyclist was deceased. The person is critically injured at a local hospital.

According to authorities, they were trying to serve a warrant out of Clayton County. Police said it was the Clayton County Fugitive Team that actually tracked the man down to the motel.
