Migos rapper Offset is no longer a wanted man.

Police have dropped a felony charge of damage to property against the metro Atlanta native, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, stemming from an incident at a Sandy Springs Target last month.

Junior Gibbons, 18, initially wanted to press charges after he claimed the rapper slapped his cellphone out of his hands. Video shared on Twitter and obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows Gibbons was attempting to film the rapper as he made his way out of the Roswell Road store on April 22. The iPhone 8 fell to the floor and was destroyed, according to a police report filed April 26.

It appears Gibbons changed his mind.

“All parties involved were able to able to come to an agreement,” Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham told AJC.com on Thursday.

Gibbons spoke to the news station after the incident, saying he’s a fan who wanted to show his friends how close he was to the rapper.

“When he put his hands up, I thought he was gonna throw up some gang signs or something, but he ended up just smacking my phone down,” he said. “He didn’t really have to smack my phone like that.”

He said he just wanted his phone, which he valued at $800, replaced. The entertainer’s attorney, Drew Findling, advocated for the dismissal of the warrant.

“This incident, which took place as Mr. Cephus was simply trying to buy items for his youngest child, was not reported to police for four days,” Findling said in a statement to Channel 2. “This so-called ‘victim’ instead took to social media for an extended 15 minutes of fame. There has been absolutely no investigation and nothing has been shown to indicate Mr. Cephus is the cause of any damage to this person’s property. The felony warrant is disgraceful and should be dismissed immediately.”

Even with the phone-smacking ordeal behind him, Cephus is not fully in the clear. He still has pending criminal charges out of Clayton County related to a July 2018 traffic stop.

Cephus was indicted on charges of making an improper lane change, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a firearm. As a two-time felon, Cephus was not supposed to be carrying a gun.

When the Sandy Springs warrant was issued, prosecutors in Clayton asked a judge to revoke his bond. The motion was rescinded on Wednesday, records show.

Migos came out of Lawrenceville and found a hit with 2017’s “Bad and Boujee,” which landed at No. 6 on Billboard’s year-end Hot 100 chart. The hip-hop trio has had three other Top 10 singles.
