A man was shot and taken to a hospital in South Fulton Thursday afternoon, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Several shots were fired at the Sierra Townhomes parking lot on Godby Road, police told Channel 2. There are reportedly over 30 evidence markers placed by investigators.

Witnesses said the person was shot while in a car, but police have not confirmed that yet, the news station reported. A few cars were struck by bullets.

The man was able to speak some before being transported by ambulance, Channel 2 reported. His condition has not been given.

No other details have been released, and an investigation is ongoing.
