A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a CVS in Gainesville on Thursday night, police said.

The victim, who hasn't been named, was shot around 8 p.m. at the pharmacy off Park Hill Drive, Gainesville police said in a Facebook post.

He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he later died, the post said. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

A person wearing all black clothing was seen running away from the area, and K-9 units are searching the area, the post said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call 911.

Police said Damian Arroyo Burgos, 44, hit a man on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Darwin Dixon, 61, died at the scene.
