DeKalb plastics warehouse fire put out; guests allowed to re-enter nearby inn
A DeKalb County plastics warehouse caught on fire Friday night, causing a nearby extended stay inn to be evacuated, Channel 2 Action News reported. It is now reportedly extinguished and guests are being allowed to go back into the inn.

Firefighters responded to a two alarm fire at Magnolia Advanced Materials around 8 p.m., according to a tweet from the DeKalb County Fire Department. The warehouse is located at 4360 Northeast Expressway.
This caused the Lodge Atlanta Extended Stay Inn, located at 4422 Northeast Expressway, to have be evacuated for hours, Channel 2 Action News reported.

There have been no reported injures, DeKalb Fire Capt. Dion Bentley told AJC.com.
This comes almost exactly 24 hours after a different plastics plant caught on fire in Carroll County.

It potentially developed into a hazmat situation at some point as firefighters encountered barrels of an unknown substance burning within the building, the department said in a tweet.

Channel 2 reported that the fire was contained to a 55-gallon drum, which the owner said was part of their mixing process. What exactly caused the drum to ignite is still being investigated.
