During the Thursday morning commute, westbound I-285 traffic was diverted onto the Old National Highway collector-distributor ramp, and drivers were forced onto I-285 North.
Additionally, the ramp from I-85 South to I-285 West was closed. Drivers were forced to take the same detour.
For a time, delays were reported on I-285 West, the inner loop and on I-85 North and South in south Fulton County.
Crews left the scene about 10:30 a.m., and the interstate reopened shortly after that.
