A 24-year-old Paulding County man was killed by a suspected hit-and-run driver, the Georgia State Patrol said Monday.

Shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, investigators were called to Ga. 92, just south of Cedarcrest Road, on a report of a body found, according to a GSP spokesperson.

Deputies determined that Aaron C. Quarterman had been struck and killed by a vehicle that did not stop.

Quarterman, who lived in Dallas, was walking along the shoulder of Ga. 92 when he was hit, according to GSP.

Investigators have not determined what type of vehicle struck Quarterman or what time he may have been hit. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the State Patrol at 706-624-1484.
