A Forsyth County man is accused of molesting a young child he was babysitting on at least one occasion, authorities said.

This week, he was arrested in Delaware after local authorities learned he was a fugitive.

Ryan Pilkington, 20, of Cumming, faces an aggravated child molestation charge in connection with an alleged incident last year, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Stacie Miller told AJC.com. She said investigators are looking into whether another molestation took place a couple of years prior involving the same suspect and victim.

“The victim is very young now and was extremely young when Pilkington was a babysitter/nanny for this family,” she said in an emailed statement.

The incident was reported in January, with deputies obtaining the warrant for Pilkington’s arrest.

He was found Monday at an apartment in Newark, Delaware, after local police received a tip from Forsyth County deputies, Newark police said in a news release. Pilkington was arrested without incident.

He remains in Delaware without bond, the release said. Pilkington is awaiting a court appearance, where Forsyth County deputies will attempt to get him extradited to Georgia.
