Gwinnett County police are seeking two men who they say robbed a pharmacy at gunpoint and made off with cash, drugs and the employees’ cell phones.
About 5 p.m. Friday, two men went into the Atlanta Pharmacy in the 5000 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard near Norcross, Cpl. Michele Pihera said.
“One man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an employee’s head,” Pihera said in an email.
The men ordered the victim to the back room, where another employee was working, according to Pihera. The intruders demanded the contents to the safe, cash and the victim’s cellphones.
The men got about $9,800 in cash and an “unknown amount of narcotics,” according to the police report.
Surveillance footage from a nearby business showed the men getting out of a maroon Chrysler 300 in the parking lot of a nearby gas station, according to police. The tag number on the car can’t be read in the video.
“It’s imperative that these suspects are identified and captured as soon as possible,” Pihera said. “We don’t know if the suspects have committed robberies in the past, but we’d like to prevent them from committing them in the future.”
One man is described as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, stocky and with a thin black mustache and beard, according to surveillance footage.
The other man is described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, slim and with a black mustache.
