A Walmart employee was arrested after authorities said they found a dozen stolen Apple TVs in his car during a traffic stop, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Jordan Auterious Hardy, 24, is in the Coweta County Jail after the incident, records show. Hardy was a stocker at a Walmart store in Montgomery, Ala., Coweta sheriff’s spokesman Col. James Yarbrough told Channel 2.

Yarbrough said Hardy was still wearing his Walmart vest when a Coweta deputy pulled him over on I-85 Thursday. The deputy initially stopped the car after he saw it traveling without headlights on, Yarbrough said. The deputy pulled the car over and spoke to the driver and Hardy, who was a passenger.

The driver reportedly told the deputy that he and Hardy were on their way home to Montgomery after visiting Atlanta. A Grantville police officer arrived and spoke with Hardy, Yarbrough said. Hardy told the officer he had a warrant out for violation of probation in Coweta County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement found a magnet used to remove store security tags in Hardy’s pocket, Yarbrough said. During a search of the car, investigators found 12 Apple TV 4K modules, new clothes with tags and other items in their original packaging.

Hardy reportedly said the items were stolen and didn’t belong to him. He didn’t elaborate, according to Yarbrough.

Hardy was taken to the county jail on a probation violation charge. The driver was released with Hardy’s vehicle. Investigators are still trying to determine where the Apple TVs came from, Yarbrough said.
