An Alpharetta restaurant manager is facing charges after he allegedly raped one of his employees.

Police said Moises Posada-Lozano sexually assaulted the woman in the parking garage behind Alpharetta City Hall, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The alleged attack happened in December. After Posada-Lozano finished a shift at Holmes restaurant on South Main Street, he stayed behind with the server and some of her friends to have drinks, police spokesman Sgt. Howard Miller told Channel 2.

The woman asked Posada-Lozano if she could sober up in his car, Miller said.

"While sitting in the car, the victim reported to us that the suspect began kissing her, touching her in places, private places, with his hands,” Miller said.

It escalated into a sexual assault, he said.

"She felt like because of his position as manager he had illegitimate power over her where she felt compelled to follow his lead," Miller told the news station.

The woman reported the incident at work, but waited weeks to tell police, Miller said.

Posada-Lozano was booked into the Fulton County Jail. His bond has not been set.
