Road rage may be the reason a man pulled up to a couple and wielded a gun at them.
The couple were driving on Highway 9 in Alpharetta when a man in a black car drove up to the driver’s side and pulled a gun on them, according to a police report.
The man tailgated them from Canton Street all the way to Highway 9 at North Main Street, where the road widened to multiple lanes.
That’s when the man pulled a gun on them.
“He shook the pistol at them and was yelling something neither could make out,” according to the report.
The woman called the police as they followed the alleged gunman driving a black 2009 Volkswagen GTI. The Newberrys eventually lost sight of the vehicle.
According to 911 tapes, the woman told the dispatcher the man wielding the gun was driving erratically and speeding.
Police told Channel 2 Action News the man may have been upset with the couple for driving too slow.
No charges have been filed in the case.
