A 17-year-old has been arrested after Atlanta police said he was involved in a shooting that injured a Macy’s employee at Lenox Square last month.

Antonio Brown is the second person arrested in connection with the incident that happened in the mall parking deck just before Christmas, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant said.

Police said the Dec. 21 shooting was the result of a botched carjacking after the Macy’s employee refused to hand over her keys. It happened about 12:15 p.m. when the woman was approached by two men as she returned to her car on the first floor of the garage, Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos said previously.

The woman, who was shot once in the stomach, was taken to a hospital and released the same day.

Following the incident, the suspects were seen running toward a MARTA station and boarding a train, police said.
