Nearly a week after two people were found fatally shot in a car in Rockdale County, a man has been arrested and charged with murder.

Javon Price of Covington was arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting deaths, the Rockdale sheriff’s office announced in a news release.

The bodies of Miykel Blackburn and Trevia Ways, both 22, were found by Earl Moat, who owns the Bruce Road property where the car was discovered, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. He called 911 after spotting them on his trip to the mailbox.

Officials with the Rockdale sheriff’s office did not provide any details about whether Price knew either of the victims, or the nature of the relationship between Blackburn and Ways.
