Cops: Man forced McDonald’s employees into refrigerated area during alleged armed robbery

A man has been arrested following an alleged armed robbery at a Forsyth County McDonald’s where police say he forced employees into a refrigerated area and stole money.

Kaleem Tariq-Madyun, 35, of Lawrenceville faces one count of armed robbery and seven counts of aggravated assault, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The alleged incident happened just after 5 a.m. Saturday at the McDonald’s on Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, the sheriff’s office said.

Employees told police that the suspect forced them into a “refrigerated area” while he took an undisclosed amount of money.

Tariq-Madyun was arrested in Lawrenceville on Saturday evening. He was taken to the Forsyth County Jail before his first court appearance.
