A 21-year-old was arrested after police said he used a ladder to climb inside his neighbor’s Cobb County home and sexually abused her.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the suspect, William Chirnos, allegedly pried open the woman's second-story window at her Marietta home.

The woman, who spoke about the experience in a Facebook Live stream, said she was asleep with her husband in bed at the time, and that her children were also at home.

“I have never in my entire life, never felt more violated and uncomfortable than I do now,” she said on the stream. It’s the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s policy not to publish the names of sexual abuse victims.

The man eventually ran off, the news station reported.

Chirnos lives next door to the victim, according to a police report obtained by Channel 2. The victim was questioned, and police said the woman identified him as the assailant.

Chirnos was arrested on Oct. 5 and remains in the Cobb County Jail on a $25,000 bond. He faces several charges including burglary and sexual battery, jail records show.
