Clayton police seek South Carolina man accused of robbery at Waffle House

A South Carolina man is wanted in Clayton County on charges related to a strong-arm robbery at a Jonesboro Waffle House.

Marcus “G” Goins, 28, is suspected of a robbery that took place at a Waffle House at 6350 Tara Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Clayton police spokeswoman Sgt. Julia Isaac said in a news release. Investigators believe Goins is still in the area of Old Dixie Highway but have not been able to find him. He also has active warrants out of South Carolina.

Goins is suspected of strong-arm robbery, a type of robbery that does not involve the use of a deadly weapon, Isaacs said. Clayton police did not provide further details about the circumstances of the robbery.

In the course of the investigation, Clayton detectives determined Goins to be the suspect, according to Isaacs.
