Singer Ciara and her husband, NFL player Russell Wilson, shared some much-anticipated baby news Tuesday morning.

Wilson, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, and Ciara announced that their family will be growing by one in late January. The couple welcomed their first baby, Sienna Princess Wilson, in 2017. Ciara, who hails from metro Atlanta, also has a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, born in 2014, whom she shares with her former fiance, rapper Future.

On Tuesday, Wilson, 31, posted a video on Twitter of himself and the rest of the family with the caption: “Gender Reveal Time! @Ciara Prince or Princess.”

In the video, Ciara asks Sienna and Future what gender the gender they’d like to see for their new sibling. For Future, a new brother would be his preference. Sienna hoped for a new little sister.

Eventually, the couple broke the suspense for their little ones by each releasing a confetti cannon that shot out baby blue confetti. The color, of course, indicating that the Wilsons’ will welcome a baby boy.

The couple expressed joy with cheers and running around in the video. Their announcement has been viewed more than 759,000 times on Twitter and retweeted 5,000 times.

Ciara and Wilson have both shown their experience coping with COVID-19 on TikTok and Twitter to show that social distancing doesn’t put a damper on fun and quality time.

“What Ciara and I are trying to do is find even a little goodness in this,” Wilson previously told People. “We get to spend quality time with our kids.”

Wilson and Ciara  donated 1 million meals to Seattle through Food Lifeline to ease the pressure families are facing to feed their children during the pandemic.

The singer said being pregnant during the pandemic has made things slightly trickier this time around, in that time feels like it’s “going slower now.”
