A 16-year-old has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man earlier this week inside of an apartment near Duluth, Gwinnett police said Friday.

Leslie Garcia-Juarez of Lilburn was arrested Thursday by homicide detectives with help from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department.

Adaph Aimable, 22, died as a result of injuries from the shooting, which happened in the 4300 block of Satellite Boulevard, police said.

Officers were called to the area just after 9 a.m. on Dec. 29, according to Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Collin Flynn. The address is listed as The Maddox apartment complex.

At that time investigators were attempting to identify a woman who may have visited the man before the shooting. Investigators said the motive appears domestic-related.

Garcia-Juarez will be charged as an adult with aggravated assault and felony murder.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Gwinnett detectives at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.stopcrimeATL.com.
