A 19-year-old man was shot and killed Friday evening outside a Marietta shopping center, police said.

The victim, identified as Tyon Gorman, was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital after being shot at least once, Marietta police Officer Chuck McPhilamy said. He later died from his injuries.

The shooting occurred after 6:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of Bells Ferry Road in Cobb County.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News he heard three to four shots, looked outside and saw the man on the ground.

People tried to help the man, Channel 2 reported, but it was too late.

Police are still searching for the shooter and a motive.

A white vehicle with a rear spoiler was seen leaving the area, headed north on Bells Ferry Road, McPhilamy said.

No other details were released.
