Police in Smyrna are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a car Saturday.

Roy Solomon, 65, was pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, according to Smyrna police spokesman Sgt. Louis Defense.

Investigators were sent to the area of Windy Hill Road and South Cobb Drive about 8:15 p.m., the police department said on Facebook. Solomon was found unresponsive at the scene, Defense said.

The details of the car crash that led to Solomon’s death are not clear. Anyone with information is urged to contact Smyrna Police at  770-434-6666.

In other news:

The shooting happened outside of a Supermercado Jalisco on Alpharetta Street. Police have not released the name of the victim but said he is a Hispanic male.
