All students in a University of Georgia residence hall were evacuated overnight when a fire started in one of the dorm rooms.

The fire at Boggs Hall was fully contained by crews with Athens-Clarke County fire by 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, university officials said on Twitter.  Students were then allowed to re-enter the building.

The fire was isolated to the dorm room, and the sprinklers in that room were triggered, university spokeswoman Rebecca Fuller Beeler told AJC.com. No one was injured.

“UGA staff are on-site assessing cause and damage and beginning cleanup and repair,” she said. “Damage is primarily limited to water damage, so most students have returned to their residences.”

According to the university, the four-story residence hall has the capacity to house 160 students.

Authorities have not said how the fire started.
