A man was hit and killed early Monday while trying to cross the street at a busy Clayton County intersection.

Clayton County police told Channel 2 Action News the victim is a 25-year-old man. Police have not identified him.

The man was hit near the intersection of Riverdale Road and Garden Walk Boulevard in the northwestern part of the county.

The incident is still under investigation, police told the news station. No other details were released.
